The Not so Super Nanny

Phyllis was a retired social worker from Georgia. The retired life didn’t suit her too much and she found herself being bored and restless at home. She didn’t want to go back to the grind of a normal everyday job so she searched for other options. That’s when she decided to become a nanny.

She had raised three children of her own, all who had grown up and moved away, and she decided she could be a good nanny. She loved walking in the park and would make sure the children she watched had plenty of exercise and filled their lungs with the great outdoors. “Fresh air is the greatest medicine” is what Phyllis would always say.

Phyllis has great credentials and seems like a very lovely person. The idea that she will make sure the kids get plenty of exercise and don’t mold into the couch watching television all summer sounds wonderful. Our boys need their exercise. These are the thoughts of the Smiths after they met Phyllis. The Smiths have two children who are soon to be on their summer break from school. They need a nanny to watch over them during the day while the Smiths go to work.

Luckily Mrs. Smith knew about using background checks. It made her feel bad checking on such a sweet little old lady but she knew that this person was going to be in charge of the pride and joys of her life. She was sure there would be nothing found but she had to make perfectly sure.

A background check showed that Phyllis had no children, never worked as a social worker and had quite a few convictions on her record including robbery from different homes. It seems like this sweet little old lady was nothing more then a con artist looking for a house to hit. If it wasn’t for Mrs. Smith following her gut determination to background check anyone no matter how they appeared on the outside, her children would have been left in the hands of a criminal and her home would have been robbed.

There are plenty of people like Phyllis out there. Will you leave yourself open to be their next victim? Click here and make sure the Phyllis’s of the world don’t take advantage of you.
