New Bill to require bounty hunter background checks

Trenton, NJ: After bounty hunters broke into the wrong house, a new Bill will impose more restrictions and background checks on bounty hunters. The new law proposed by Sen. Shirley Turner (D-Ewing) would require bounty hunters to register with the State Police and undergo criminal background checks.

Turner: “Unless we put certain common-sense restrictions on bounty hunters, we’re going to end up with a tragedy on our hands.”
